2 lacks of enamel on the central plate (see photos) at the top right in the corner and in the center of the edge on the right. We do not recommend any restoration insofar as these lacks in no way alter the aesthetic quality of the composition and do not represent any danger of subsequent degradation.

"....We discovered at antique dealers, private individuals or in museums, several painted enamels of Samson whose iconographic inspiration we have not found....The triptych representing in its center The Flight of the Saint Family in Egypt between Eve and the kneeling donor, signed with the serpentine sign of Samson, is imbued with charm and naive poetry...."

".....If the Samson house is best known for its ceramics, it has not neglected the field of enamels, the production of which remains relatively unknown.
When Samson embarked on the production of enamels in the last quarter of the 19th century, Limoges enamels from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance were in vogue.
The Samsons have reproduced with great skill the painted enamels that were in the 19th century in public or private collections. Moreover, certain triptychs were sold as authentic to private collectors or museums before the Greek S placed in the composition was discovered, such as this triptych, The Crowning of Thorns between the Kiss of Judas and the Flagellation, which the 'you can admire at the Lazaro Galdiano Museum in Madrid.....''
