Olifant in bovine horn (Ethnic group: KONGO). Being able to emit only one sound, the olifant was only used for communications. It was a war and hunting horn, it was used to give signals, to rally the troops, to announce the approach of an enemy. The olifant was therefore an instrument worn by leaders, or a man who followed them. Good general condition, with traces of use. Note small chips at the base of the horn. Length 35 cm.
