We note ancient ruins, a pyramid, a city in the background at the foot of the mountains.
A radiant sun fills the sky, the reflections of the rays "turn" according to the point of view.
A wide-edged frame is elegantly decorated with friezes.
The light reflection of the straw radiates on the painting and the frame according to the light.
The size is important for a straw marquetry and one rarely finds them in paintings, usually they are in ornamentation of an object or piece of furniture.
The outfit of the hunters corresponds to the end of the XVIIIth or the beginning of the XVIIIth century, which makes it possible to date this work, the landscape being treated in a way close to the XVIIth century approaching this scene of the spirit of an old painted picture which is particularly rare in straw marquetry;

Exceptional condition for this technique, no detachment or missing, except for a few tiny shrinkage chips around the edges.
