A beautiful and functional compass , this model from the 19th century reissue by Charles Bloud (1690) is an eye-catching and faithful piece to the inventor's model , it is equipped with a sundial , a shadow drawn by the wire once oriented in relation to the sun . On the cover is a glossary of cities. The beautiful colors of this paper are marbled onto a mahogany case which is closed with a small hook. A fine piece for lovers of curiosities and antique scientific instruments. Good condition with slight wear, from the Château de Loupy estate.
